Hey everyone......if you're looking for MELEA, I found her at Middleton Salon, on Vickers and Academy, 548-1543. It took me awhile to locate her, because no one would give me any info on where she was, and I had switched cell numbers, so she couldn't find me, but it was worth the search to find her! She's been doing my hair for the past two years and I always love her new ideas. By the way, she does have a good "Hair Special" going on right now which I took advantage of. MY RATING FOR MELEA.....5 STARS!

I read the reveiws on the site, and I am honestly not sure where the bad ones were coming from. I guess you just can't make some people happy. When I moved here 2 years ago from NJ, I had been flounderin glooking for a regular hairstylist who could cut my hair well. I found it HERE! I have a long, wide face, and wavy hair that does whatever it wants to, so it is not easy to cut my hair and make it look really good. Heidi has succeeded since day one. WHen my hair was long, she always cut it to frame my face well. I finally got the guts to go short, and I must say, Heidi is the first person who has been able to make short hair look FABULOUS on me. I brought in some pictures, and she customized a style to fit my face PERFECTLY. And I swear, it is her mission in life to make her customers feel FANTASTIC about themselves!!!!!! This place is ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!!!!

When i walked into this salon, nobody even noticed me. When I sat down I had to wait at least 5 minutes for someone to come and ask who I was. It was a little dissapointing to have service like that considering the prices and atmosphere. I will not be back.

Pros: Decent haircut

I have been getting my haircut at Attitudes for over 5 years now. Their stylists are as sharp as their shears. They stick around for a long time. That says something about the atmosphere and the talent there. I always have a good time at Attitudes chatting with the stylists and just kind of goofin' with them. The place is always immaculate. They have those cool chick magazines like Vogue and stuff that I would be too embarrased to read anywhere else. Melea is my stylist. I think she's spunky, not snarky. I think I am going to start calling her the Spunkanator. Or maybe Spunky Brewster, or Spunkatola, or The Spunkster. The fact that she's a hotty might put some people off, but you need to look past the pretty face and recognize the fact that she has talent dang it! She always takes great care to get my cut just right and that is why I keep coming back. Attitudes is a high quality salon, a good value, and they have an excellent location at Rangewood and Woodmen. I would recommend it to anyone. I have a feeling my next hair cut is going to be fun :) See you in 4 weeks...Spunklie

I've been looking for both a trendy, northside salon and a knowledgeable, take charge stylist. I found both at Attitudes Salon. The salon is very stylish, clean and comfortable, and I was greeted by a very friendly person at the front desk. Heidi did my hair, and I will continue to return to her chair! She took the time to get to know me and my hair before jumping into anything. After getting an idea of what I was looking for, she made some suggestions and took charge from there. I really appreciated the way she listened first but took control when it was time to pick up the scissors. I love what she did, and I would recommend her to anyone!

Pros: Trendy, clean, reasonably priced, friendly, skilled

I was having a hard time finding someone to trust with my hair since moving here 9 years ago. For years I continued to drive 50 miles to get my hair done by my former, very trusted stylist, but taking a full day out of my schedule every 6 to 8 weeks was not working anymore. It was recommended that I come to Melea at Attitudes. She's great!!! I have been happy with every cut and color that she's done. She asks questions to make sure she knows what I want...she also makes suggestions when I'm not sure what I want.

I and my two adult sons have been going to Attitudes for a couple of years now. Chelsea, Melea, and Sara have always given us exceptional service. The entire staff at Attitudes has always been professional and friendly. We have used many different salons in the past 25 years and we feel that Attitudes is definitely the best there is. Chelsea, Melea and Sara are always up to date on the recent hair styles and are great about offering advice on products to use, for obtaining the same "look" after we leave. With so many choices in Colorado Springs, I feel very fortunate to have found Attitudes and their staff. I can't imagine going anywhere else. If you are looking for a relaxed and enjoyable experience with outstanding cuts, color (whether it be highlights, low lights or all over color), and waxing services, you really need to check Attitudes out. I know that you will be as pleased as I have been.

For the past 7 years both my daughter and I have been going to Tammy to have our hair cut & styled and we are extremely pleased with the results. I have trusted her to take my daughter's hair from past her waist to shoulder length and she did a terrific job--I was concerned with how my daughter would take the drastic change, but Tammy did such a great job and my daughter loved it! I have trusted Tammy's guidance in choosing new hairstyles (goodbye feathered hair!), new hair color, etc. Not only do I love my hairstyles/colors, but I also get many compliments. Finally, my husband is also a long-time client of Attitudes. When his old stylist left, he followed her and then when she quit the business, he came back to Attitudes. With the help of these fine women, my husband finally let go of the '80s haircut (think Billy Ray Cyrus). I agree with the reviewer's comment about making it clear what I am looking for; I don't like to use generic terms such as "a little"--instead I'll say "1/2 an inch." Finally, I would definitely recommend Attitudes. Call, ask questions and let them know what you like and don't like.

I was looking for a new salon, so I decided to call Attitudes based on the review here on Citysearch. I had my hair cut by Melea. Attitudes is right! She was snarky and somewhat rude, as well as very pushy - she kept trying to sell me services that I didn't want. The haircut was passable, but not great. She did most of what I asked for; it is partly my fault since I was not extremely specific about what I wanted. I thought she understood what I wanted, but apparently not. She did not ask how I usually styled it or where I parted it, just cut it where she thought it should be. I didn't say anything because I didn't want a confrontation and I just wanted to get out of there as fast as possible because I was very uncomfortable around her. The rest of the stylists may be great, but I can't go back because I'm afraid that she might recognize me and get mad for not coming back to her. I am sure that she has regular clients that think that she's great - I just wanted to let people know my experience.

Pros: Haircut was affordable, but did not include blowdry.

Cons: Customer service

I was looking for a nice place that was close to get a decent hair cut. The problem I run into is that most places don't take the time to determine what I want and then provide that cut. Since I have more hair than most men, it can be an issue. I heard about Attitude's from a girl friend of mine, so I figured I might as well try them out. First, when I walked in, I was pleasantly greeted by the gal behind the counter. The salon itself is nicely decorated and apparently well kept. All the ladies in the salon are attractive and you can tell they take the time to ensure their hair looks the part. I only had to wait for a few moments when my stylist came up to get me and took me back for a shampoo and conditioner. Most of the time, stylists spritz my hair with a bottle of water and start cutting. This gal asked me what I was looking for and really appeared to be listening to my requests. Once the shampoo was done, we were off to the haircut... Here's where I normally get nervous as they usually start cutting right away...not this time! She clarified what I had asked for earlier and then, throughout the cut, made sure I was happy with the occassional comment. By the end of the cut, I knew I had found the place for me. It turned out perfect and she received a pretty healthy tip as my thanks. I highly recommend Attitude's Hair Salon...they certainly have the right "attitude" to cut my hair from now on!

Pros: Awesome service and great cut!

Cons: Didn't notice any!
