My husband and I were excited to try this restaurant after hearing about it from a friend. We both worked in the fine dining industry for over ten years, so we were interested to see how it would measure up. We are definitely going back- the menu was well written, the pricing is well placed for the market, and the wine list has good variety. The one thing that is cautionary is that the present menu is heavily imbalanced on seafood. A lot of the items have some kind of seafood with them. The service was very good, relaxed, yet we never wanted for anything. We have already sent friends of ours to this restaurant, and are looking forward to going back soon!

Equates to fine restaurants in New York, Los Angeles, and San Francisco without the astronomically high prices. And thank goodness we have a fine restaurant in the north end of town now!!
Pros: Fabulous service, food, and ambience. And their bar is great!!
Cons: None

My husband and I eat out often, so we consider ourselves self proclaimed "food critics." We have traveled all over the world, so unfortunately we have a certain expectation of dishes from certain countries. We recently dined at this restaraunt and were less than impressed. While the service was "excellent" and the view/atmosphere was "amazing," we were left feeling disappointed after our meals. I had the paella which was over seasoned, the rice was undercooked, and there was too much broth in the pan. You are paying for the ambience, more so than a meal. Maybe we caught them on an off night, but regardless, consistency is paramount in a restaraunt business.
Cons: $$$$

Wow, after reading the review in the gazette we decided to go try Plate, also having been to Walter's Bistro before and loving it we figured we could go wrong. Not only is this place spectacular in design and decoration, but the food concept is great. There is food from all over the world, from Japan, to spain, France, American, Italian, etc... I loved the monkfish, the tuna tartar was spot on, and a really cool sushi dessert. Our service was perfect, didn't even notice my servers, but never needed anything. Make sure to check out the bar and believe it or not the restrooms.
Pros: Decoration, Food and Concept, Service
Cons: no valet

On a recent night out my wife and I decided to try Plate, we are regulars at Walter's Bistro, so we had heard the hype, both critically and locally, but we had no idea what we were getting into. This place is spectatcular, we thought how much better can it be then Walter's, and we got our answer. By far the best dining room around, it rivals NYC and SF Restaurants in decor and design, the service impeccable and a menu concept we had never seen before. Food from all over the world, but still colorado friendly. Very impressed will back again.

I went to lunch at this restaurant with a business associate and was VERY surprised at the excellent food, atmosphere and decor. The staff was very friendly and the managment was excellent. I would highly recommend this restaurant for lunch and dinner. The flat iron steak lunch was PHENOMENAL! A+++
Pros: Food, service, ambience, value
Cons: location is a little off the beaten path but still easy to get to
