I disagree with anyone who says the tanks at Jon and Ellis' shop are dirty in any way. I only wish that they could communicate with me clearly enough to tell me how they do it! The Coral is beautifully covered in that purple coating, there is no algae what so ever!!! NONE! I was envious, then frustrated and now nearly angry. The anger comes from paying around three hundred a month to have them maintain my tank and yet my coral stays covered in algae no mater what products or equipment I buy from them because they swear it will clear up my tank. After 7 months, I am ready to move on in search of a second opinion on my tank. :( I hate leaving them because they seem so nice and friendly. They seem to want to help me, but this has become more expensive than I can handle- adding the fact that the $$ does not get my tank n better condition. WHy can I not get my tank to look like the tanks at Mr. Aqua's? Better yet, why can "Mr. Aqua" not get my tank looking like the tanks in the store? If you know what you are doing or speak the same 1st language that Jon and Ellis do, then I recommend Mr. Aqua's. If you only go there to purchase fish or other products, I still recommend them. (so what if the roof leaks a little and the floor is like a garage floor) The fish are beautiful and healthy. ...they are kind and patient. They will let you borrow stuff, trade fish, and sometimes pay later. Thier tanks look wonderful!
Pros: Beautifully clean, artistically designed, healthy tanks..and really kind guys
Cons: I cannot understand them as ell as i would like

Alot has changed since 2006. The owner (John) really cares about his shop and stocks standard and exotic species of fish and corals. More than any other store in the Colorado Springs area. The tanks are very clean and are all salt. He has the best advice for newbies and for experienced reef enthusiasts. Just by the number of people that I see entering his door and saying hello or shaking his hand says alot.
Pros: Wide variety of tank specimens (especially corals)
Cons: None.

Place was a shambles. Looks more like there selling contraband rather than aqaurium supplies. Tanks where distgusting, amazed anything was alive.
Pros: Guy was nice
Cons: dirty, no appeal
