I had a very informative free consultation with Dr. Raskin and I was put at ease the moment I walked through the doors. He made time for all my questions and I learned so much about the surgery. I had been to other doctors and I felt rushed and like I was taking up their time...this was not the case with Dr. Raskin. I am so glad I waited to find a doctor that I am comfortable with and can fully trust. I had my surgery a couple weeks ago and I am so happy. Dr. Raskin was recommended to me by a friend and now I get to be the one who recommends him to others. I tell everyone who is thinking about plastic surgery to make sure they meet Dr. Raskin before making any decisions.

In my opinion this Plastic Surgeon is underinformed with regard to certain current information on silicone implant leaks. I also feel he needs improvement in his listening and empathy skills when it comes to relating to women. When discussing things with me, if we disagreed, he chalked it up to us not getting along and quickly suggested I find another doctor. I believe he and his patients would be better served if he honestly tried to come to a mutually agreeable course of treatment rather than manipulating or dismissing them if they don't agree on his first assessment. Seeing patients as whole human beings instead of mere "cases" to be treated his way only would move him toward a more enlightened and progressive practice. If you're having trouble talking with your doctor BEFORE surgery it's a pretty good indication that things won't get much better with him/her AFTER surgery.
Cons: This Plastic Surgeon was very condescending in speaking to me. He used phrases like "I don't think" your implant is leaking

I was afraid of going in but found that he and his staff were very comforting. They answered all my questions and he personally made calls afterwards to see how I was doing. I think he did a wonderful job.

Personable and friendly office staff. Answered my questions completely. Dr. Raskin is very easy to talk to. I would highly recommend him to all my friends. : )
