I got a great trendy hair cut and I am extremely picky.I was a little worried about the front desk people after reading the reviews, but I did not that problem. My appointment was scheduled immediately along with an explanation that the stylists are at 3 different levels of experience/training and charge 3 different prices. I selected one with the middle range of experience. The day of my appointment the front desk lady greeted me promptly and gave me a card for a complimentary scalp massage (the massage was given during my hair being washed and was nothing impressive, I have had good massages in the past). But I went for a great hair cut and that is what I got, along with a nice style for $40. When I paid for my cut the 2 receptionists were friendly and told me they loved my hair. Looks like things have turned around with the staff there. I give them an A++++++++++ highly recommended, I will go back!
Pros: friendy, great cut
Cons: don't like the smell of the Veda products

I have been going to Veda for six years now. After getting several shabby, average haircuts at other salons I was ready to fork up a little extra money for a quality style that I would be proud to show off. The front receptionists are nothing to exclaim about, they are inconsistent and at sometimes rude, but I am not there to see them. Since I have been going to the salon I have been with two stylists and both have been fabulous. My current stylist is Lindsay who has been cutting my hair for the last four years. She always cuts it exactly the way I want it and lets me know when I might be making a decision that won't flatter my features. I feel that my service has always been amazing and I always leave at least a 20% tip. If you have a bad experience at Veda, maybe you picked the wrong stylist, ask for someone who will give you the kind of cut you want, whether it be funky, edgy, conservative or whatever. When you find a stylist who matches your needs you will really enjoy what the salon has to offer.
Pros: Atmosphere, ambiance, skilled stylists
Cons: Prices can run high

I have been a client at Veda for several years. My esthetician is the best there is out there, hands down. She is friendly, skilled, timely, brings a great atmosphere, never complains, and the list of good stuff goes on and on. However, I can't say very many good things about the front desk staff, minus one specific receptionist. The front desk is down right rude. The only exception you will find is a lady named Alyssa who is just fabulous. She takes wonderful care of you, is friendly and accommodating. I actually try to go on days when she is there just so she can take care of me. I have complained about the front desk staff on numerous occasions and it still does not get better. Every time I call I am immediately put on hold since the front desk is so busy. There are many times when I just hang up the phone after being on hold and take my business elsewhere. One time I put the phone on speaker in my office and decided to work until they picked up the phone. I actually forgot that I did this since a lady spoke up and said "Thank you for holding" after 9 minutes. I just laughed and told her that I forgot I was on hold and since they took so long, they were not worth my money for the week. I have had to call and reschedule appointments and the receptionists are just down right nasty. They are lazy since they only offer water/tea to me only 1 out of 4 times. When scheduling my appointments one receptionist slaps the reminder card on the counter and doesn't even say thank you or anything. The only reason I put up with the horrible staff is because my esthetician is fabulous. If she ever decides to leave the overpriced place, I will definitely go with her. But I may leave before she does since I am tired of the rude and bitter receptionists. It is very unfortunate that the only thing that is keeping me there is only one esthetician. Not the management, horrible receptionists, un-relaxing atmosphere, & overpriced services.

I have found the front desk people to be very unfriendly to the point of they are so.... much better than the rest of us. Maybe they are there for their own pleasure and not indeed to help us mere customers who I might add are paying a premium to be condesended. I do hope that this reveiw is read by the owners of the establishment as I am not the only person to think this. Their new location on Academy is more freindly but the aucustics in that locations are not good, my head ached by the time I was finished with my appointment. So I am on the look out for a friendly Salon, I need all the hair services that Veda offer but do not need the fancy location or attitude!!!.
Pros: great location
Cons: unfreindly standoffish staff

I have been going to this particular salon for years and have generally been happy with the service; however, over the past 6 months to a year, I have been disappointed with the service and attitude of many of their receptionists. The women at the front desk are, w/out a doubt, the most discourteous front desk staff I have encountered. Unfortunately, I believe this behavior is exhibited by the manager or owner, who, on my last visit, acted irritated and put out to have to help me. While I know the salon is a busy establishment, having to wait over 30 minutes for an eyebrow wax is really unnecessary and reflects on their poor scheduling. The only reason I stay with Veda is for my stylist, who has always been on time, does an excellent job and understands thay my time is just as valuable as that of the management. I have referred people to the salon for years and have never received complimentary services, product, etc. Given the outlandish pricing, I would think they could recognize loyal customers and reward them w/a price break or free service on their next trip to the salon. If my stylist ever leaves or transfers to the new store, I will no longer go to this location.
Pros: clean and relaxing facility
Cons: snobbish staff, high priced, some services do not start on time

I felt very welcomed. The staff went out of their way to make sure that I had a perfect experience. The salon is beautiful and very clean. I was given complimentary services.
Pros: attentive, experienced
