I drove all the way to the springs so that my parrot could get exceptional care. Denver needs to get more bird vets! these guys were great and knowlegable and took great care of Mr. Bob!

Dr Marty Kuhn and her staff are wonderful! Very professional and caring. They treated my blue-front Amazon parrot with love and respect. Dr Kuhn was able to find an explanation for my bird's illness when the supposed "best bird doctor in the Springs" spent months treating my bird incorrectly and for the wrong illness in a seeminly uncaring manner. At Dr Kuhn's office I was able to be in the room with my bird during the entire visit. I got to observe everything they did to him as well as the process of taking his blo0d and the lab procedures they used. Dr Kuhn even let me look in the microscope while she explained to me what I was seeing! WOW! We spent about an hour with Dr Kuhn and her staff. I can't explain how thankful and grateful I am to Dr Kuhn and her staff for taking the time to spend with us to try and explain why my beloved birdie was so sick. I have only been to Dr Kuhn once, but because of this experience I would call her the best bird doctor in the Springs! If you are a bird owner and you're looking for a good vet in/around the Springs, I highly recommend Dr Kuhn at Roller Coaster Vet. It will be a ittle bit of a drive for most Colorado Springs residents, but it is more than worth it!
Pros: Excellent Service, Respectful, Caring, Smart, Thorough, Resaonable Prices
Cons: Parking, Remote Location (but worth it!!!)

Dr. Kuhn has always taken a personal interest the German Shorthaired Pointers I raise and breed, Dr. Kuhn lends new meaning to "being Professional". She is knowledgeable, compassionate, has an uncanny understanding of all animals. I have seen her take care of an array of injured rabbits, birds, squirrels, snakes, lizards &c. that others have brought in for care that they have found injured in fields and on roadsides. At times of distress, for myself, she has been gracious enough to make herself available at anytime, even in her home. Prior to losing one of my dogs, to cancer at her office, she brought in one of her birds that my dog spent many times pointing at while in the office, oddly enough the bird always pointed back. One of the kindest gestures I have ever witnessed. Words of Praise are not enough.

Dr. Kuhn is always calm and very knowledgeable. She has always treated my pets as if they were the most valuable pets in the world. She even cried when she could not save my cat from cancer and had to recommend that we let her go to heaven. She has met me early or late at the clinic to treat one of my pets. She will never pressure you for money or make money a main factor in what treatment she recommends. I feel very confident that my pets are being treated by one of the best.
Pros: inexpensive, convenient, very clean
