What a fun place to go for an easy hike with most trails that are paved. The beautiful scenery will mesmerize you while explore.

Pros: Great day getaway

Cons: Some trails and formations are very crowded on the weekend

I live only a few miles from Garden of the gods and have been there many times. I never get tired of it. It is a very peaceful place to go and forget the pressures of the day. It is my favorite place to visit in Colorado Springs. It is especially beautiful at sunrise.

Pros: inexpensive, good parking

Cons: crowded

The park is a wonderfully scenic and safe place for the whole family. There are trails for everyone, even grandma. Be sure to stop by the 100-yr-old Trading Post on the way out. The SW Art Gallery is the best in the state.

Pros: Free, well maintained, scenic

The Garden of the God has everything that you would want places to hike, bike, horseback riding, & rockclimb (if you have the right things to do it) most of the hiking paths are paved but there are a few that are not. It is just really pretty there.

Insider Tips

Know Before You Go

Remember to fill up those water bottles; the lack of shade and low humidity can dry you out in minutes. And don't let the snow get you down; the park is open year-round.
